Nanso Gakusha’s 280 Year History

According to historical documents(Here), the original ‘kominka’ structure that stands here today, (later to become Nanso Gakusha), was erected and inhabited by a farmer known as Iemon, in the period of Japanese history referred to as ‘Genbun’ in 1738. (Equivalent to the Georgian Period in European architectural reference)
