Reiji OHTAKI, Ph.D.
 
Professor – Waseda Business School 

Dr. Ohtaki is a professor of Waseda Business School (WBS) in Tokyo, Japan.
His research topics include global business leadership and organizational/HRM strategies of global companies, and employee engagement.  He teaches ‘Global Business Operation’, ‘Global HR Management’ and ‘Employee Engagement and Company Performance”.
He also teaches ‘Organizational Strategy for Global Companies’ at Nanyang Business School in Singapore under NTU-Waseda double MBA degree program. 
 
He has served as an executive advisor to Septeni Co., Ltd., Shizuoka Bank, Cognifyx Pte. Ltd. He is serving as an executive advisor to Emotion Tech Inc., and Laboratic Co., Ltd. He is also a Director of “Transnational HRM Research Institute” of Waseda University.
 
Prior to his academic career, Dr. Ohtaki was in the Organization/HRM consulting industry for over 30 years. He assumed various management positions including the President and CEO of Aon Hewitt Japan, Regional Managing Director of Hay Group in Asia, and Regional Managing Director of Mercer in Asia. He also served the Singapore EDB (Economic Development Board) as external board member. 
 
Dr. Ohtaki received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Tohoku University and Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the University of California in San Diego.
